About Me

I started my academic career studying theology at the University of Tartu. Having been suppressed in the Soviet Union, it seemed like a new and exciting field, and this is where I discovered my passion for languages.

My spells of living and studying in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1990s and 2000s gave me a good grasp of the English language and more importantly, first-hand experience of the two cultures. Encouraged by this, I decided to make a career change and completed the Master's program in translation studies at the University of Tartu in 2004.

I have been a professional translator ever since and specialize in English<>Estonian and German>Estonian translations. Over the years, I have built extensive expertise in automotive, industrial machinery, legal contracts, user manuals, UI/software localization, and more. 

I am independent, detail-oriented, and committed to confidentiality, delivering high-quality translations whether working with direct clients or agencies.
